It's the Shins.
Sleeping Lessons is the song.
I think it's off Wincing the Night Away if not that one then it's Chutes too Narrow.

thanks guys! i never really got into that band & am wondering how i let them slip by. will be purchasing that tonight for sure.
found the album. the other songs do not sound like the one in the bike video. now i'm suddenly remembering why i never liked the band to begin with. looks like it will be a one song purchase.
Chutes was their break out album. This song and video are a good starting point.
