It's been a long time and all.

I've passed up a zillion videos to end up posing this one. Nothing mind blowing about it other than the sheer speed of this guy. Funny thing is it's a commercial for the most part for some Asics Onitsuka Tiger's that's been given a couple special touches to make it wear longer, reflective etc...

Here's more from Vimeo...

Human Traffic is proud to present an all new shoe. The shoe is a collaboration with San Francisco's own Shoe Biz, and Onitsuka Tiger. The shoe is based on the ‘66 Mexico, which features a series of notable features as it situates itself as a reflective, all-vegan shoe for fixed gear riders. The initial look includes a mesh overlay with 3M underneath on the typically sleek ‘66 Mexico style. Stay tuned for more details on availability.

The guy's name is TJ and I think it's the first I've seen him. Like his style.

This one's for Brent. MEGAtaost

Really had no idea that Geekhouse had this kind of hand-built set up. Really love everything I see here.

While on the topic of nice whips,

This is a Tonic Supernaut There's a lot of attention to detail that makes this build incredibly clean. The Tonic icon on the downtube isn't a sticker. It's pieces of unpainted stainless adhered to the frame. Fixed gear's have a clean aesthetic anyway but when the headset is integrated inside the headtube it gets even better. The H+Sons built in to the CHUB's look so good. Thomson seatpost never hurt a build either. Probably not the lightest set-up but a great one none the less...

And here's how Hfwido's handling the big city...

Adios

I've been giving it much thought lately and have I have come to the conclusion that I need to weed some things out of my life right now. I have family responsibilities, work (x2) and other interests that I would like to spend more time with. So, I'm going to be throwing in the blogging towel at the end of this week. So to the 11000+ visitors that stopped by to see what J-Rod and I was posting, thank you.

As for J-Rod, I'm not sure what his plans are. He will be having his first child in a week, so things will be getting hectic for him as well. He has the keys to the building and if he chooses to shut down Tonight We Ride then it's his decision.

* If someone is interested in taking over the blog IF BOTH OF US LEAVES, then hit us up.

So long - Leo

Mash New Zealand Tour Shirt
(Text from Benny Gold for Highsnobiety)
Some of you know that Mash was currently in New Zealand. They asked me to design the tour shirt for the trip like the one I created for the the Texas adventure. The fern leaf is the universal symbol for NZ. I used the same shapes from the shield to create the fern leaves and substituted it for the lighting bolt. The stars and colors come from the New Zealand flag. Have a great trip guys! I wish i could have made it on this trip also.

Live Hurt

BALTANAS, Spain (AP) - Lance Armstrong has broken his collarbone in a crash during a five-day race in Spain.

Astana team leader Johan Bruyneel says on his Twitter feed that it was a clean fracture without complications. He adds that the seven-time Tour de France champion should make a fast recovery.

Armstrong crashed Monday during a pileup in the first stage of the Vuelta of Castilla and Leon race. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

The 37-year-old Texan is making a comeback to cycling and is riding with the Astana team as he prepares for another possible shot at a Tour de France title. He had not raced in Spain for five years.

ALSO, A POSSIBLE PLOT BETWEEN RADIO DJ'S AND MOTHER NATURE TO SNUFF OUT CYCLISTS...
NEW YORK (AP) - A flip off his bicycle took "Today" show co-host Matt Lauer off the air Monday with a shoulder injury.

Lauer, 51, was riding his bicycle on Long Island this weekend when a deer jumped into his path. He flipped over the bike's handlebars and was slightly hurt, NBC said.

"Today" show publicist Megan Kopf said Lauer, who was wearing a helmet, separated his shoulder and was scheduled to have surgery Monday.

"He's doing well, and we hope to have him back on `Today' later this week," Kopf said in an e-mail.

Lauer's broadcast partner, Meredith Vieira, joked on the air that Lauer thinks the deer was hired by the competition.

"Matt's banged up with a displaced shoulder, it popped out," she said. "So hopefully he'll be on the mend soon."

Lester Holt filled in as Vieira's co-host Monday.

Video of the Week: Ravenfeeders

Raven Feeders / Desired Hearts / Creative Space from The Creative Space on Vimeo.

Stay Gold

I realize that blogging about 24 karat plated, crystal adorned bicycles during the United States present economic climate is nothing short of obnoxious. But it doesn't detract from the perverse fascination I have for these sort of luxury items. And this one is a doozy. And costs $102,418.60 USD.

Each bike is hand built, plated with 24 carat gold and hand-adorned with more than 600 Swarovski crystals.

The limited to ten, the crystal and gold bike was created by a company named Aurumania, whose self-proclaimed purpose is to conceive of and design items with the extravagant use of gold, thereby turning familiar objects into collectible art. Their collection thus far consists of fifty 24 karat gold plated bikes, a gold plated bike rack and the special Swarovski crystal adorned 24 karat plated version. As one would expect for these prices, their products are hand delivered anywhere in the world.

The crystals a little bit too much for you? Don't fret, they've made 50 of the gold plated bikes without the Swarovski Crystal adornments. These too, have the leather Brooks saddle and hand sewn leather handles.

What a bike shop should be...

A month or back I stopped by this shop while Stacy and I were visiting this guy and this guy in Nashville and the place made a great impression. Every single one of the 4-5 people behind the counter made a point to talk to you and there was a rad dog walking the floor. If you're in Nashville for any reason at all you should make a point to stop by this shop.

Their mission sounds a little familiar.

Prolly and Mosher hit this one a little bit differently than this guy. This is more of a pop-up MTB style bunnyhop. Pedals are vertical and they probably have to be. Makes jumping/track standing tricky.
